The South of Perth Yacht Club runs one of the best junior sailing and youth development programs in Perth. The program is supported and funded by Grand Sponsors which RecruitWest has proudly been involved in since 2004.
The club offers kids entry level programs called “Tackers” through to youth development, training and scholarships. The recent success of 17 year old Conor Nicholas being crowned the 2015 Laser Radial Youth World Champion is a testament to the clubs commitment to developing our youth.
There are many benefits in participating in sailing programs, attributes that kids can take into their teens and adulthood and the basis of an outdoor, fun environment where kids learn important life skills, such as:

Tackers
Tackers is an introductory, fun, games-based sailing program designed for children aged 7 to 12. Children do not need to have any sailing experience and they do not have to be a member of a club to participate. All the equipment, including the boats, is provided.
Youth Development Squad
The Youth Development Squad aims to develop the skills & knowledge of both junior and youth sailors within the South of Perth Yacht Club. Being part of the Youth Squad offers access to additional regular training and the opportunity to compete in regattas that otherwise may not be so readily available.
