As a Transport Driver, you will play a crucial role in the transportation and delivery of goods, ensuring efficiency, safety, and timely service.

To join our team, you must be comfortable with the following:

• Safely operate assigned vehicles, such as trucks or vans, for the transportation of goods to designated locations.
• Follow scheduled routes and maintain timely delivery of goods, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods to prevent damage or loss during transportation.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, reporting any maintenance issues or damages to the appropriate channels.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times, mileage, and any incidents or irregularities encountered.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and warehouse personnel to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any logistical challenges.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, and vehicle maintenance.
• Assist with general warehouse tasks, including picking, packing, and organising inventory as needed.

To be eligible, you must have:

• Driver’s License: Valid and unrestricted driver's license, with a clean driving record.
• Experience: Proven experience as a Transport Driver, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.
• Traffic Laws and Regulations Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of traffic laws and regulations, with a strong commitment to safe driving practices.
• Tool Familiarisation: Ability to navigate efficiently using maps, GPS, or other navigation tools.
• Physical Fitness: Strong physical stamina, as the role may involve manual lifting and carrying of heavy items.
• Management Skills: Exceptional time management skills and the ability to meet tight delivery deadlines.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to interact with dispatchers, customers, and other team members effectively.
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and organisational skills to maintain accurate records and handle the paperwork.
• Adaptability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required by the job.
