We are seeking Moxy Operator for several locations in Perth.

As a Moxy Operator, you will play a vital role in construction, mining, or earthmoving projects, operating articulated dump trucks (Moxy trucks) to transport materials and contribute to efficient site operations.

• Moxy Operation: Operate articulated dump trucks (Moxy trucks) to transport materials, such as soil, rock, or aggregates, within construction or mining sites. Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
• Material Transport: Transport materials from excavation sites to designated areas, following established routes and safety guidelines. Collaborate with site supervisors and other equipment operators to ensure smooth material movement.
• Site Safety: Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Conduct pre-operational checks on the Moxy truck, inspect equipment for defects, and report any concerns to the supervisor.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance checks on the Moxy truck, including checking fluid levels, inspecting tires, and ensuring proper functionality. Report maintenance needs or equipment defects promptly.
• Material Handling: Operate the Moxy truck's bed for loading and unloading purposes. Secure loads properly to prevent spillage or damage during transportation.
• Communication: Maintain effective communication with site supervisors, loaders, and other team members to coordinate material movement, prioritise tasks, and ensure safety compliance.
• Documentation: Keep accurate records of daily activities, including materials transported, routes taken, and any incidents or near misses. Complete required paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Environmental Awareness: Contribute to environmental protection by following site-specific procedures for dust control, spill prevention, and waste management during material transport.

To be eligible, you must have:

• Experience: Proven experience as a Moxy Operator in construction, mining, or earthmoving projects. Familiarity with articulated dump trucks and material transportation operations is essential.
• Certification: Possession of a valid heavy machinery operator's license or relevant certification for operating articulated dump trucks is required.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of Moxy truck operation, controls, and safety features. Proficiency in manoeuvring and operating the truck safely in varying site conditions.
• Safety Consciousness: Demonstrated commitment to safety, with knowledge of relevant safety regulations, procedures, and risk assessments. Ability to identify and mitigate potential hazards during material transport.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including operating controls for extended periods, climbing in and out of the Moxy truck, and working in varying weather conditions.
• Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members, supervisors, and other stakeholders. Ability to follow instructions accurately and relay information clearly.
• Adaptability: Willingness to work in different environments, adapt to changing work schedules, and work extended hours or overtime as required by project demands.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to assess the best routes for material transport within the site, identify potential challenges, and make decisions to ensure efficient operations.
