Senior Estimator – Residential Construction

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and prepare detailed cost estimates for residential construction projects.
• Analyse plans, specifications, and other documentation to accurately prepare time, cost, materials, and labour estimates.
• Assess the cost-effectiveness of products, projects, or services and track actual costs relative to bids as the project progresses.
• Collaborate with trades, suppliers, and other departments, including project managers and directors, to formulate estimates and resolve any issues.
• Evaluate and compare suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive and accurate pricing.
• Update and monitor the internal price book, maintaining current and accurate data.
• Manage estimates for multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring precision and attention to detail.

About You:

• Over two (2) years experience as a Senior Estimator/Scheduler in two storey builds.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency with estimating software and the MS Office Suite.
• Trade background preferred, but not essential.
