Safety Advisor

RecruitWest is looking for two (2) Occupational Health and Safety Professionals to work in a FIFO capacity for our civil construction client for 2-3 months. This role is central to maintaining a culture of safety across the operations on site.

What you’ll be responsible for:

• Measuring, maintaining and monitoring the client’s HSE Management Systems
• Supporting risk identification and assessment processes to ensure risk of work activities are maintained as low as reasonably practical
• Implementing, auditing and conducting site/project inspections relating to the HSE Management System
• Providing a high degree of health and safety support/advice to project teams
• Ensuring that induction training is conducted and managed accordingly

About your employment:

• 2&1 roster swing 
• 10 hour days at $85 per hour, paid weekly
• 1,000 person camp (wet & dry mess, ensuited rooms, WiFi, ample facilities)
• 2-3 month project

What you’ll require:

• Cert IV or Diploma in OHS/WHS
• 3-5 years’ experience as a safety representative in the civils or mining industry
• Knowledge of ICAM/5 Why’s Investigation Procedures
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Cert IV in Training & Assessment (desirable)
• Rio Tinto inducted (desirable)
