Forklift Operator / Yard Person
$40/hr + penalties | Temp to Perm | Immediate Start | Welshpool

RecruitWest is looking for an experienced Forklift Operator to join our busy mining client based in Welshpool.

The role:

• Monday to Friday, approximately 40–45 hours per week
• Typically 7:00am – 4:30pm
• Operating a counterbalance forklift
• Handling oversized, awkward and mining-related freight
• Loading and unloading trucks and transferring equipment between trucks
• Securing loads using straps and assisting with load restraint
• Basic computer work to track goods coming in and out
• Ad-hoc local pickups using a company ute

What we’re looking for:

• Demonstrated counterbalance and yard forklift experience
• Experience handling oversized or ugly freight
• Load restraint experience (straps)
• Valid C Class Driver’s Licence; HR licence highly regarded
• Comfortable working around trucks and in a busy yard environment
• Reliable, hands-on and confident dealing with a variety of drivers and customers
• Ability to pass Drug & Alcohol screening
• Full Australian Working Rights, no sponsorship available
• Must already reside in Perth, Western Australia
• Must have own reliable transport
