RecruitWest is on the hunt for a trade qualified Carpenter to work for our client in their site in Southern Cross, Western Australia. This is a drive-in drive-out position with a duration of 1-2 years. You will be reimbursed for your train ticket to Southern Cross or a fuel allowance for your commute if travelling by car.

What are the duties?

• Carry out modifications to transportable buildings (dongas), including relocating walls, building/fitting out ensuites, installing wall sheeting, etc
• Build of stairs and access platforms into buildings
• Basic concreting and plumbing works (running pipes, installing showers, etc)
• Source prices and availability of materials from suppliers
• Liaise with tradespeople on-site

What is required?

• Cert III in Carpentry
• High risk work licences for Forklift (LF) and Crane (C2 or C6)
• LR Driver’s Licence (preferred)
• Your own tools
• Full Australian working rights

About the role:

• 2 weeks on, 1 week off roster
• Daily work hours are 6am-4pm (10hr days)
• Payrate of up to $70 per hour
• Accommodation provided and daily meal allowance of $60
• Ongoing role of for minimum of 12 months
