RecruitWest is currently seeking an experienced Boilermaker for our client, a well-established Bunbury-based engineering company servicing the mining, construction and heavy industry sectors.

This is a long-term, ongoing opportunity for an experienced Boilermaker looking to secure consistent work with a reputable local engineering business.

The Role:

Based in a Bunbury workshop, you will be involved in a variety of heavy fabrication, welding, repair and maintenance projects.

The work is varied and includes fabrication and repairs for mining and heavy equipment, structural components and general engineering projects.

About the role – your duties will include:

• Heavy fabrication and structural fabrication
• MIG/MMAW welding
• Fabrication and repair of heavy equipment
• Wear plate and liner replacement
• Cutting, grinding and preparation
• Reading and working from drawings
• General workshop fabrication and repairs
• Maintaining high standards of quality and workmanship
• Working safely and efficiently as part of an experienced team

About you – to be successful, you will have:

• Trade qualification as a Boilermaker / Metal Fabricator
• Strong heavy fabrication experience
• Excellent welding skills
• Experience working with heavy steel and equipment
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings
• Strong safety awareness
• Reliable work ethic and good attendance
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Previous experience in mining, heavy equipment or engineering workshops will be highly regarded.
