About the position:

As a trade qualified Baker, you will be responsible for the operations which are generally produced in a modern-day bakery facility.

Your duty will involve preparing products consistently from scratch whilst maintaining high standards of hygiene and demonstrating cleanliness during your working day.

This involves the production of bread (including but not limited to weighing flour and other ingredients to prepare doughs including mixing, handling, molding and baking), standard pastry lines (including pies, pasties, sausage rolls), savory and sweet products (including but not limited to cakes, slices and working with glazes, icings and edible toppings).

What will you do?

• Maintain good levels of productivity and efficiency
• Demonstrate food hygiene and safety practices
• Upkeep of bakery presentation and cleanliness
• Continual reduction of waste and innovative improvements for management
• Monitoring stock and inventory supplies and work with the duty manager to place orders within budget

What you will bring to the team:

• Cert III trade qualification and minimum 3 years’ experience as a Baker in a commercial bakery setting
• Willingness to work early mornings and weekends as required
• Demonstrated baking techniques and recipe knowledge
• Work efficiently and accurately under pressure
• Commitment to quality, efficiency and attention to detail
• Passion for creating quality baked goods
